20 DinoLauncher is a rudimentary tool first released by [[sabre230 >>doc:XWiki.sabre230]]in October 2022 that updates a local copy of the Dinosaur Planet ROM with the most recent patches and updates.

26 * Start by selecting an update branch.
27 ** __**Stable** __is slower to update but typically easier to deal with
28 ** __**Nightly** __is more frequent but can suffer from unforeseen hiccups.
29 * __**Browse** __for your Dinosaur Planet ROM file. It will typically be named "rom_crack.z64" from most sources.
30 * Click __**Check for Updates**__ to check the DinoLauncher repository for any new patches.
31 * Once updates are done downloading, click __**Apply Patch**__.
32 ** Optionally, you may check the box to use __**HQ player models**__ at the cost of performance.
33 * Once the patch is complete (it's usually quite fast) the game directory will open and you'll be given the option to __**LAUNCH** __the game.
